Drs. Marascalco and Mason are ophthalmologists that were trained at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. They routinely perform clear cornea, topical anesthesia, cataract surgery through a small incision. This state of the art procedure does not require any shots or stitches. Since there are no shots given, patients are not required to wear a patch after surgery. Our patients may return to full activities with virtually no restrictions on activity the afternoon of surgery. Many of our patients participate in hunting, fishing, and gardening activities the day of surgery. Very few of our patients require the use of glasses for distant vision following this state of the art cataract surgical procedure.
Drs. Marascalco and Mason are also trained to diagnose and treat diseases of the eye including glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, ocular infections, as well as correcting refractive errors with spectacles and contact lenses.
